Llangybi
The church at Llangybi is a small and charmingly simple building. Nothing visible remains that pre-dates the nineteenth century, although its dedication to St Cybi is attested in the thirteenth century.
The interior is light, well-appointed and graced with box pews, and although the square stone font could be medieval, it has been reworked.

A Latin Life of St Cybi survives, and may have been written at the monastery of Llanbadarn Fawr in the late eleventh or early twelfth century. The story of Cybi tells of his birth in Cornwall and his journey to Rome, followed by forty years with St Hilary in Poitiers. Cybi then returned to Cornwall and travelled across Wales and Ireland before arriving at Caergybi (Holyhead). Cybi’s church at Holyhead continued to be a famous collegiate site throughout the Middle Ages, and the holy well dedicated to him at Llangybi can still be found near the church, one of a number of holy wells dedicated to him.
The east window of the Nativity, Crucifixion and Ascension is by Thomas Ward and dates from 1854. It was originally installed in the church at Betws Bledrws, but was moved here in 1886.
