Llanycrwys
The church at Llanycrwys is dedicated to St David and is Grade ll listed. The nave and chancel are thought to date to the fourteenth century and the opening on the north side of the church marks the position of the rood loft. The present appearance of the church is due to eighteenth- and nineteenth-century restoration. A square medieval font survives at the church, perched on a pedestal of 1892.

The church is located in a peaceful location close to the Roman road of Sarn Helen. The place-name refers to the ‘church of the cross’ and perhaps an important cross stood in the vicinity of the church in the medieval period. The Lord Rhys granted the church to Talley Abbey in the early thirteenth century.
